Our Case study is based on the poor and the young people that are working very hard and are not going to school. Children are working in dangerous conditions for very little pay. There are more than 160 million kids in labor. In the 20th century, 18% of the US worker were under 16 years old. During the Great Depression, the United States government began to place formal restrictions on child labor. According to Voices of Youth, “In 2000, there were approximately 11,575,000 children at work between the ages of 10 to 14 in China.” Not only is child labor exists in china, it also exists in India, in 2011, the total number of child workers between the ages 5 - 14, is at 4.35 million.
